When "What does it mean to be saved?" is asked, another question often comes to mind. This question is, "Saved from what?" The answer is saved from eternal suffering in Hell. When you are saved, you recieve eternal life in Heaven instead of never ending pain and sorrow in Hell. That is the ultimate goal: Eternity with the savior Jesus Christ, in a paradise beyond imagionation.
The true GOD is not the god of "Many Faiths"
He is the GOD of those who believe in his Son Jesus Christ.
For He alone is "The Way,The Truth,And The Life"
JOHN 14:6
Jesus Christ is the holy and almighty son of God. Jesus was sent down to Earth in the form of a man. He was completely perfect sinless and blameless in every way, yet he was willing to pay for our sins and crimes. He lived on the earth for thirtythree years preaching to the lost, healing the sick, giving joy and hope to the weary, and performing awesome miracles. In the thirtythird year ,he did what he had been sent to do; he gave up his life for you and me. He was brutally crucified on a cross. Jesus, perfect and pure, bore all of the guilt , shame, and sin of the world so that we (You) wouldn't have to. The best part about Jesus' sacrifice is that after three days of being dead, he arose just like he promised he would. He is still alive today sitting on a throne at the right hand of God the father. By dying on the cross he provided for us perfect forgiveness. And that forgiveness still exists today.
Jesus is offering you a chance to be made holy and clean. He's offering you eternal paradise. He's offering you an abundant, joyful life on Earth. All you have to do to recieve these gifts is accept Jesus into your heart. This is a very simple thing to do. The bible tells us that all we have to do is pray a prayer that's called a sinner's prayer. You can pray the following or something similar as long as you mean it with all your heart.
"The Sinners Prayer"
Heavenly Father:
In Jesus Name, Amen.
I come to you in prayer asking for the forgiveness of
my Sins. I confess with my mouth and believe with my
heart that Jesus is your Son, And that he died on the
Cross at Calvary so that I might be forgiven and have
Eternal Life in the Kingdom of Heaven. Father, I believe
that Jesus rose from the dead, and I ask you right now
to come into my life and heart and become my personal Lord and
Savior. I repent and ask you for forgiveness of my Sins.
And I will Worship you all the day's of my Life!.
Because I know your word is truth, I confess
with my mouth that I am Born Again and Cleansed of my sin
by the Blood of Jesus Christ!
After you've prayed this prayer you are born again in Jesus Christ. This doesn't mean that for the rest of your life you wont have troubles or trials. It does mean you will be able to overcome any trial that comes your way by praying and trusting God.
To help you grow as you pursue your new relationship with God you should start reading his word, The Bible. For new Christians I will suggest the first four books of the new testiment, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. They thouroughly explain the death and ressurection of Jesus. It is also a good idea to find some Christian friends to fellowship with.
